Gabriela Cepeda-Rizo

Gabriela Cepeda-Rizo graduated from Cal Poly in 1995 with a B.S. in Civil Engineering. During her professional career, she’s worked as a Design Engineer, Civil/Structural Engineer, Lead Designs Engineer, and most recently, as an Environmental Specialist.

As a Cal Poly student, Gabriela held leadership roles in SHPE (Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers) and Imagen y Espiritu – Mexican Ballet Folklorico. She now supports Cal Poly by working with underrepresented groups and younger students to encourage them to pursue careers in Engineering and Technology.

Gabriela currently lives in Long Beach California with her husband, Juan, and their three children, Catalina, Salvador and Maya.  As a family, they enjoy taking trips back to San Luis Obispo.
