Are you a newly admitted student? Congratulations! Here are some important events for students and their supporters to build new relationships, learn more about Student Affairs programs, and become familiar with our Cal Poly community. For additional information, please click on each listed event.

Summer advising for newly admitted students and their supporters. |

| Sept. 17 or 18, 2024 |
University Housing fall move-in for newly admitted first-year and transfer students. New students will be assigned a day to move in, either Sept. 17 or 18, and will choose an appointment time on their assigned day. |

| Sept. 20-22, 2024 |
Fall move-in event for continuing students. Students will select a day and time for their move-in appointment. |

| Sept. 18-22, 2024 |
Nationally recognized orientation for all newly admitted students. |

Evening with the President (parent and supporter reception) and Big Fall Welcome |
Welcome reception hosted by President Jeffrey D. Armstrong for supporters, followed by annual welcome event for newly admitted students at Alex G. Spanos Stadium (supporters also welcome to attend). |

A traditional weekend celebration that includes Cal Poly Football and Learn by Doing alumni events. |

A weekend of Learn by Doing fun for supporters and friends of Cal Poly. |

April 2025 |
A Cal Poly tradition featuring our annual campus showcase and Poly Royal Rodeo for admitted and prospective students, supporters and alumni. |

| April 2025 | PolyCultural Weekend | An immersive weekend event for prospective students that centers on the diverse academic, cultural and social resources at Cal Poly. |
| June 14-15, 2025 | Commencement | Our traditional ceremony at Alex G. Spanos Stadium celebrating the Class of 2025. |
