Cal Poly to Co-Host Forum on Effects of and Policies Around Marijuana
April 18, 2018
SAN LUIS OBISPO — Cal Poly’s Campus Health and Wellbeing department and San Luis Obispo County Behavioral Health will co-host a marijuana forum from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday, April 19, in the Spanos Theatre.
The forum is designed to provide accurate, evidence-based research about the mental, physical and social effects of marijuana. In addition, the event aims to educate attendees on local, state and federal policies for using, growing and selling marijuana.
The panel will feature a student representative and six professionals from various sectors of the community, including University Police Department, California Highway Patrol, San Luis Obispo County Behavioral Health, Sierra Vista Regional Medical Center, and Cal Poly Student Club NORML.
The forum is open to all and admission is free on a first-come basis. Refreshments will be provided, and a resource fair with on- and off-campus resources will follow the forum.
