Cal Poly’s Campus Health and Wellbeing Hosting Second Annual Wellness Month

May 1, 2018

SAN LUIS OBISPO — Cal Poly’s Campus Health and Wellbeing department will hold its second annual Wellness Month throughout May.

The 31-day event, beginning May 1, celebrates the university’s wellness efforts with a variety of events and activities that focus on multiple aspects of healthy living, including: community well-being, social relationships, emotional health, career development, academic success, financial well-being and physical health. Students, faculty and staff can register individually or as a team to participate in activities and win prizes throughout the month.

“This annual event honors and celebrates the campus and community partners who ensure our students, faculty and staff can grow and thrive at Cal Poly,” said Genie Kim, director of Wellbeing and Health Education. “We are so grateful to all wellness partners who help us pursue our mission of cultivating student success through timely care and the promotion of lasting wellness.”

Regularly occurring events throughout May include:

  • Tuesday Wellness Fairs – held every Tuesday, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Mustang Way, located near the Mott Athletic Center lawn.
  • Thursday Learn @ Lunch – held every Thursday, noon to 1 p.m. in University Union, Room 219 (Registration required via “Be Well at Cal Poly” guide on the Cal Poly Now app; limited to first 30 reservations).
